Sustainable Material – Handcrafted from PLA in Heidelberg

PLA (Polylactide) – Bioplastic from Corn Starch

Our Porcini Mushroom Table Lamp is made from PLA – a bioplastic derived from renewable corn starch. Compared to conventional plastic, PLA production causes significantly fewer CO₂ emissions. This means you get a design object that looks good and is also good for our planet.

Handcrafted in our Workshop

Each Porcini Mushroom Lamp is individually 3D printed in our own workshop in Heidelberg. The design is based on 3D scans of real mushrooms from nature – which is why every lamp looks so authentic. After printing, each piece is hand-finished and quality-checked.

Care Instructions:

Dust with a dry or slightly damp cloth. PLA is splash-proof but not suitable for wet rooms or outdoor use. Do not heat above 60°C (e.g., do not place directly next to a fireplace). Please use a maximum of 40W equivalent (LED) to keep heat generation low.

Scope of Delivery & Assembly

• 1× E14 socket with cable and toggle switch (approx. 2 m total length)

Not included:

• E14 LED bulb (we recommend warm white LED with max. 10W equivalent)

Assembly – Ready in 2 minutes:

1. Insert the socket into the lampshade
2. Screw the bulb into the E14 socket
3. Plug in the power, press the switch – done!

Which light bulb fits the Steinpilz table lamp?

The Steinpilz mushroom lamp has a standard E14 socket – this is the most common screw thread in Germany. We recommend warm white LED light bulbs with a max. 10W equivalent. Pro tip: With a smart LED (e.g. IKEA Trådfri or Philips Hue), you can conveniently control brightness and color temperature via an app.

Is the Steinpilz mushroom lamp dimmable?

The lamp itself has a toggle switch (on/off). For a dimming function, we recommend a smart LED light bulb (e.g. IKEA Smart Home). This allows you to infinitely adjust the brightness and even use color changes – perfect for cozy evenings.


How long is the cable?

The cable has a total length of approx. 2 m (1 m to the toggle switch and 1 m to the plug). This gives you maximum flexibility in placement – even if the power outlet is further away.

What material is the Steinpilz mushroom lamp made of?

The Steinpilz table lamp is made from PLA (Polylactide) – a bioplastic derived from renewable corn starch. PLA is more environmentally friendly than conventional plastic and ensures a high-quality, stable surface. Each lamp is handmade in our own manufactory in Heidelberg using 3D printing.

Can I return the lamp if I don't like it?

Yes! You have a 60-day right of return. If the Steinpilz mushroom lamp doesn't suit you after all, you can easily send it back to us. Your home should only be filled with things that make you happy.
