Lun Lampshade – Available Sizes:

• M: 21 × 21 × 21 cm (approx. 170 g) – The compact sphere. Perfect above a bedside table, in the hallway, in the kitchen, or as part of a cluster arrangement. Small but impactful!
• L: 30 × 30 × 30 cm (approx. 250 g) – The versatile all-rounder. Ideal above a
  dining table for 2–4 people, in the living room, or in the office. The spherical shape unfolds its full effect here.
• XL: 35 × 35 × 35 cm (approx. 350 g) – The statement piece. Impressive above a
  large dining table or as a central design element in the living room. The perfect
  sphere in XL format!

What is your Lun Lampshade made of?

Your Lun lampshade is made from PLA (polylactide) – a bioplastic derived from corn starch. Unlike conventional petroleum-based plastics, PLA has a significantly smaller carbon footprint. Good for your home, better for our planet.

What's special about our process:

• Every Lun lampshade is produced by 3D printing in our own workshop in Heidelberg – not a mass-produced item, but genuine craftsmanship from Germany
• The perfect spherical shape is built layer by layer – a process that requires the highest precision to ensure the sphere is truly flawless
• After printing, each piece is hand-finished and quality-checked. With a sphere, every irregularity immediately stands out – that's why our quality standards for Lun are particularly high
• PLA is lightweight, robust, and durable – your Lun will accompany you for years
• Minimal material waste: Precise 3D printing results in almost no offcuts
• 3 colors – all made from the same sustainable PLA: dyed through without paint or coating

Care instructions:

• Simply dust with a dry or slightly damp cloth
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents
• Do not clean in the dishwasher
• Do not heat above 60°C (therefore only use LED bulbs!)

Note: PLA is splash-proof, but not suitable for wet rooms (bathroom) or outdoor use.

Installation – It's that easy:

• Step 1: Hang the pendant lamp holder in the desired location (ceiling hook or existing ceiling mount)
• Step 2: Place the Nuvia lampshade onto the E27 socket from below
• Step 3: Tighten the socket ring to secure the shade
• Step 4: Screw in an LED bulb (max. 15W, E27) – done!

Time required: approx. 2 minutes. Really that simple!

Important:

• Only use LED bulbs (max. 15W, E27) – incandescent and halogen lamps generate too much heat!
• The included HEMMA lamp holder fits any standard ceiling connection
• If you already have an E27 pendant lamp holder, you can mount the shade directly onto it
• The perfect spherical shape looks best on a short, simple lamp holder

Pro-Tip: For the most beautiful lighting ambiance, we recommend a warm white LED (2700K). This makes the even, all-round light distribution of the spherical shape particularly soft and cozy!

Will the Lun lampshade fit my existing light fixture?

Yes, the Lun lampshade fits any standard E27 pendant fitting with a screw ring! If you don't have one yet – no problem: A HEMMA fitting (IKEA-compatible) with cable and ceiling rose is included. So all you need is an LED bulb (E27, max. 15W) and you can get started right away. Installation takes only 2 minutes – simply put it on, tighten the fitting ring, and you're done!

Which bulb is best for the Lun lampshade?

We recommend a warm white E27 LED bulb with a maximum of 15 watts. For cozy, warm light, choose 2700K – this will bring out the bubble structure particularly well. For more neutral light (e.g., in the kitchen), 4000K is suitable. Important: Only use LED bulbs! Incandescent and halogen lamps generate too much heat for the PLA material.
